Hahn's macaw won't stop screaming at 6 AM
Every single noon, my lineolated parakeet goes absolutely nuts screaming. I live in a condo in Hamilton and my neighbours are starting to complain. Any advice on reducing the volume without punishing them?

So what I ended up doing was adding foraging opportunities to at least 3 different spots in the cage. Within a few days there was a noticeable improvement. Definitely worth trying.
This made my day honestly. caique owners are the best people. We're all just trying our best for our feathered kids.
Following up on my earlier comment β I tried what you suggested and it actually worked! My Indian Ringneck is doing so much better. Thank you!
I showed this post to my bird and they looked at me with zero remorse. They know what they're doing.
Have you noticed any other changes? When my cockatiel did this they were also refusing favorite foods.

I'd suggest trying putting a bird lamp on a 12/12 timer to simulate natural daylight cycles. My avian vet recommended it and it made a huge difference.
There's a great bird supply store in Richmond Hill that carries exactly what you need. I go there all the time.
Been thinking about this thread all week. I've tried a few of the suggestions and playing music during the day β my bird loves calm acoustic guitar was the game changer for us.
