My umbrella cockatoo is too smart for most toys — figures them out in 5 minutes and then gets bored. What are the most challenging puzzle/foraging toys you've found? I need to keep that big brain occupied!

My Coco went through a phase like this around 8 months. I was terrified but it passed. Birds are weird sometimes lol.

This is peak Amazon parrot behavior honestly. They wake up and choose chaos every single day and we love them for it.

Totally normal, don't stress! Birds go through phases just like any other pet.

Exactly my thoughts. You said it better than I could have.

My vet in North York suggested spending at minimum 2 hours of supervised out-of-cage time daily and I noticed a change within the first week. Highly recommend.

What worked for me was covering the cage partially at night for 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Took about a week but my Amazon parrot responded really well to it.

I respectfully disagree. I think it depends heavily on the individual bird. My Blu is the total opposite.

Which avian vet do you go to? I'm looking for a good one near Brampton.
