New member — my budgie is my world

Hi! I'm new here but definitely not new to birds. My Hahn's macaw Fig has been my companion for 2 years and I honestly can't imagine life without them. Just moved to Liberty Village recently and looking to connect with other bird owners in the area. Happy to be here!

I found a lot of helpful info on the Bird Sitting Toronto website — they have great care guides too.

My green cheek conure did this too! Turned out it was because of a change in routine or schedule. Once I addressed that, everything went back to normal.

It took me a while to figure this out with my bird too. Don't be too hard on yourself — you're learning!

Which avian vet do you go to? I'm looking for a good one near Vaughan.

A friend who's had birds for 20 years told me to try spending at minimum 2 hours of supervised out-of-cage time daily. I was skeptical but it actually worked.

Do you have other pets in the home? My caique started acting differently when we got a cat.
