My canary has been sneezing a few times a day for the past week. No discharge, still eating and playing normally. Could it be the dry winter air from heating? Or should I book a vet visit?

This happened to us last winter. I think the shorter days and dry heated air were the cause for my bird.

I actually disagree with this. In my experience with my Pionus, the opposite was true. But I know every bird is different.

I respectfully disagree. I think it depends heavily on the individual bird. My Jade is the total opposite.

Oh my bird did this for about about a month and I tried everything. Honestly, time was the biggest factor. They just grew out of it.

Reading this hit home. My green cheek conure went through the same phase around the same age. What helped us was playing music during the day — my bird loves calm acoustic guitar. Also just accepting that birds are gonna bird, you know?

My vet in Guelph suggested switching to stainless steel water bowls and changing water twice daily and I noticed a change within the first week. Highly recommend.
