Best companion for a parrotlet?

I have a Amazon parrot and I'm thinking about getting a second bird. Should I get the same species or would a different one be okay? Worried about them not getting along.

My vet in Roncesvalles suggested offering chop first thing in the morning when they're hungriest and I noticed a change within the first week. Highly recommend.
