I just learned avocado is deadly to birds. I almost gave my budgie some last week!! What other common human foods are toxic that people might not know about? Let's make a list for newer bird owners.

If you're near Brampton, PetSmart on Queen St actually has a decent bird section. Better than most locations.

Update: took everyone's advice and things are improving. Luna is slowly coming around. This forum is the best.

I remember when my cockatiel went through this phase. I was so worried but my vet said it's actually really common.

My lineolated parakeet did this too! Turned out it was because of a change in routine or schedule. Once I addressed that, everything went back to normal.
