Training win: taught my parrotlet to wave in 4 days!

Started target training last week and it snowballed from there. My Indian Ringneck now waves on command, steps up reliably, and is starting to learn spin. Clicker training is absolutely the way to go. Happy to share my process if anyone's interested!

Do you have other pets in the home? My zebra finch started acting differently when we got a cat.

I used to think the same thing until my parrotlet proved me wrong. Now I'm firmly in the other camp.

I respectfully disagree. I think it depends heavily on the individual bird. My Tiki is the total opposite.

Did this start suddenly or was it gradual? When my African Grey did this it turned out to be the cage being in a high-traffic or drafty location.
