TIL about Indian Ringneck lifespan and I'm shook

I knew parrots lived long but I just looked up actual documented lifespans and some Pionus have lived over 40 years in captivity. My Pistachio could outlive me. Has anyone here actually thought about a plan for their bird if something happens to them? This just got real.

My Rio went through a phase like this around 8 months. I was terrified but it passed. Birds are weird sometimes lol.

Have you tried switching from seed to Harrison's pellets gradually over 2 weeks? That's what solved this issue for us. Game changer honestly.

I got mine from Pet Valu in Newmarket. Great selection and the staff actually knows about birds.

When I had to travel, I used Bird Sitting Toronto and they were incredible with my canary. Daily updates with photos and everything.

Dealt with this for months. What finally worked was changing the type of water dish and just being really patient. They come around eventually.
