Training win: taught my caique to wave in 4 days!

Started target training last week and it snowballed from there. My Senegal parrot now waves on command, steps up reliably, and is starting to learn spin. Clicker training is absolutely the way to go. Happy to share my process if anyone's interested!

I went through this exact thing with my budgie Lucky! It lasted about over a month and then resolved on its own. Hang in there.

What kind of cage setup do you have? Sometimes the environment is a factor.

I remember when my African Grey went through this phase. I was so worried but my vet said it's actually really common.

How long have you had them? Sometimes it takes a while for birds to settle into a new home.

Okay but counterpoint — what about birds that are the complete opposite? My blue and gold macaw breaks every rule lol.
