I know Harrison's is the gold standard that everyone recommends but at $40+ a bag and with my caique barely tolerating the taste, I switched to Goldenfeast and my bird is happier AND healthier at their last checkup. Anyone else feel like brand loyalty has overtaken actual nutrition science?

I used to think the same thing until my canary proved me wrong. Now I'm firmly in the other camp.

Hmm, I'm on the fence about this one. Part of me agrees but then I think about my experience with Rio and it doesn't quite line up.

So I had this exact problem about a year ago. Let me share what I learned. The key thing is adding a full-spectrum Arcadia UV light near the cage. A lot of people also recommend joining an online support group for Eclectus owners. My avian vet in Mississauga also suggested checking for dry winter air from forced-air heating which can sometimes be an underlying factor. Good luck β€” feel free to DM me if you have questions!
