My sun conure is judging my cooking again

Every time I cook, Paco sits on top of the fridge and watches with this intensely disapproving expression. When I drop something or burn something they make this little disappointed chirp. I am being critiqued by a creature that eats pellets. Anyone else feel watched in their own kitchen?

My advice would be getting natural java wood perches from a specialty bird store. Went through the same thing with my blue and gold macaw last year.

Dealt with this for months. What finally worked was changing the cage liner material and just being really patient. They come around eventually.

For this I'd highly recommend Harrison's pellets. My Amazon parrot loves it and my vet approved it too.

100% this. Wish I'd known this when I first got my bird.

If you're near Milton, PetSmart on Hurontario St actually has a decent bird section. Better than most locations.

I'd suggest trying adding a full-spectrum Arcadia UV light near the cage. My avian vet recommended it and it made a huge difference.

I found a lot of helpful info on the Bird Sitting Toronto website β€” they have great care guides too.

YES! This is exactly what I needed to read today. My lovebird and I have been going through the same thing!
