Was SO nervous about being gone for 3 weeks for a family emergency. Had Biscuit boarded at Bird Sitting Toronto and honestly I was more stressed than the bird. When I picked them up, Maple flew straight to my shoulder and started preening my hair. They remembered me! BST staff said Bean was a model guest.

Your bird is in good hands. The fact that you're researching this shows how much you care.

Have you tried spending at minimum 2 hours of supervised out-of-cage time daily? That's what solved this issue for us. Game changer honestly.

Just wanted to come back and say the advice in this thread WORKED. My green cheek conure finally stopped being hormonal and aggressive after I tried stuffing paper towel rolls with treats for foraging.

This reminds me of when I first got Echo. I was so overwhelmed but looking back, those early days were actually really special. The bond building phase is tough but beautiful.
