How to bird-proof a room for sitting

I agreed to watch my friend's Senegal parrot for two weeks. I don't have birds — what do I need to do to make my place safe? I know zero about bird care and I'm terrified of doing something wrong.

This is peak budgie behavior honestly. They wake up and choose chaos every single day and we love them for it.
