Bought a toy with really vibrant dyed wood pieces. Now I'm second-guessing if the dyes are bird-safe. How do you tell? Is there a list of safe toy materials I should reference? I don't want to risk it.

One thing that really helped was removing mirrors from the cage — can cause hormonal or aggressive behavior. Give it a try — can't hurt!

My lineolated parakeet did this too! Turned out it was because of not enough quality sleep — they need 10-12 hours uninterrupted. Once I addressed that, everything went back to normal.

LOVE this post! More of this energy please. The bird community needs more positive threads like this.
