My Indian Ringneck has been on seeds their whole life (1 year). I know pellets are better but they literally throw them on the floor and look at me like I insulted their ancestors. Any conversion tips that actually work?

Great question! So in my experience with Pionus, this usually comes down to a few things. First, playing music during the day — my bird loves calm acoustic guitar. Second, make sure they're getting enough sleep — 12 hours of uninterrupted dark sleep is crucial. And third, pay attention to being moved to a new cage or new room because that was a huge factor for my Basil. Hope that helps!

One thing that really helped was offering chop first thing in the morning when they're hungriest. Give it a try — can't hurt!
