My lovebird has been plucking for about two to three weeks. Vet ruled out medical causes. Tried new toys, diet changes, more interaction, less interaction, a different cage... nothing works. Has anyone actually successfully stopped plucking?

Okay but counterpoint — what about birds that are the complete opposite? My Indian Ringneck breaks every rule lol.

Exactly my thoughts. You said it better than I could have.

Did this start suddenly or was it gradual? When my Pionus did this it turned out to be molting — they get uncomfortable and cranky.

My Mango went through a phase like this around 10 years. I was terrified but it passed. Birds are weird sometimes lol.

100% this. Wish I'd known this when I first got my bird.

I've tried a bunch of brands and TOP's pellets is hands down the best value. My Basil devours it.
