Just wanted to give a shoutout to Bird Sitting Toronto. Left my Indian Ringneck with them for 10 days while we visited family and Fig came home happy and healthy. They sent daily photo updates. Honestly the best experience. Highly recommend for anyone in Etobicoke!

Great question! So in my experience with caique, this usually comes down to a few things. First, getting a kitchen scale and weighing them weekly to track health. Second, make sure they're getting enough sleep β€” 12 hours of uninterrupted dark sleep is crucial. And third, pay attention to insufficient UV light exposure, especially in Canadian winters because that was a huge factor for my Sky. Hope that helps!

Have you noticed any other changes? When my Amazon parrot did this they were also refusing favorite foods.

What worked for me was using a shower perch so they can bathe with warm mist. Took about a week but my green cheek conure responded really well to it.

I've tried a bunch of brands and HARI Prime is hands down the best value. My Clover devours it.

My advice would be getting natural java wood perches from a specialty bird store. Went through the same thing with my green cheek conure last year.
