Hi! I'm new here but definitely not new to birds. My Indian Ringneck Mochi has been my companion for 3 years and I honestly can't imagine life without them. Just moved to Roncesvalles recently and looking to connect with other bird owners in the area. Happy to be here!

I've done a ton of research on this because my parrotlet had the same issue. Here's what I learned: the most common cause is hormonal season — spring is brutal. What worked for us was switching to stainless steel water bowls and changing water twice daily. I also started rotating toys weekly so they always have something "new" and noticed improvement within a week. It's a process but it gets better.

One thing that really helped was offering chop first thing in the morning when they're hungriest. Give it a try — can't hurt!
