This is really hard to write but my life circumstances have changed significantly and I'm not sure I can give my parrotlet the attention they deserve anymore. I love Poppy but I want what's best for them. How do I decide? And if I do rehome, how do I find them a good home?

Dealt with this for months. What finally worked was changing the food brand and just being really patient. They come around eventually.

This reminds me of when I first got Coco. I was so overwhelmed but looking back, those early days were actually really special. The bond building phase is tough but beautiful.

I've had birds for 15 years and I've seen this many times. In my experience it usually comes down to jealousy of a new person, pet, or even object in the home.

Just wanted to come back and say the advice in this thread WORKED. My umbrella cockatoo finally stopped biting guests after I tried putting a bird lamp on a 12/12 timer to simulate natural daylight cycles.
