Considering adopting a rescue Senegal parrot

Been thinking about adopting a rescue instead of buying from a breeder. Any experiences with rescue birds in Ontario? What should I expect in terms of behavioral challenges? Which rescue organizations do you recommend?

This reminds me of when I first got Biscuit. I was so overwhelmed but looking back, those early days were actually really special. The bond building phase is tough but beautiful.

I remember when my umbrella cockatoo went through this phase. I was so worried but my vet said it's actually really common.

I'd suggest trying positive reinforcement with their favorite treat every time they do the right thing. My avian vet recommended it and it made a huge difference.

Been thinking about this thread all week. I've tried a few of the suggestions and switching from seed to Harrison's pellets gradually over 2 weeks was the game changer for us.
