Hello! Been lurking on this forum for a bit and finally decided to make an account and participate. I've had my parrotlet Tango for about 1 year now. Always nice to connect with other bird people in the GTA — most people I know think I'm crazy for having a bird lol. Excited to be here!

Welcome to the forum! Great to have another bird lover from the GTA. Your caique sounds adorable — what's their personality like?

Don't worry, this is super common with green cheek conure. You're doing great!

I'd suggest trying playing music during the day — my bird loves calm acoustic guitar. My avian vet recommended it and it made a huge difference.

Second vote for BST. They boarded my Senegal parrot last summer and I could tell Fig was well cared for when I picked them up. Total peace of mind.

I struggled with this too until I started target training first, then building up to step-up. Now it's like a completely different bird.

Check out Pet Valu — they have exactly what you need and the prices are reasonable for the GTA.

One thing that really helped was playing music during the day — my bird loves calm acoustic guitar. Give it a try — can't hurt!
