First-time bird owner in Milton — help!
Hi all! I just adopted a Indian Ringneck and I'm already head over heels but also completely overwhelmed. So many questions: what pellets do you recommend? How do I know if they're sick? Is it normal for them to sneeze? How do I get them to trust me? I've been googling non-stop but real owner experiences are worth way more. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Welcome to the forum! Great to have another bird lover from the GTA. Your cockatiel sounds adorable — what's their personality like?
Welcome! I remember being a new bird owner and this kind of community helped SO much. Excited to have you!
Reading this hit home. My umbrella cockatoo went through the same phase around the same age. What helped us was adding foraging opportunities to at least 3 different spots in the cage. Also just accepting that birds are gonna bird, you know?
Your bird is in good hands. The fact that you're researching this shows how much you care.
I switched to HARI Prime last year and haven't looked back. My Indian Ringneck's feathers have never looked better.
I switched to Goldenfeast last year and haven't looked back. My zebra finch's feathers have never looked better.
I actually disagree with this. In my experience with my green cheek conure, the opposite was true. But I know every bird is different.
