Post-surgery update — my sun conure is going to be okay!

Posted a few weeks ago about Rio needing surgery. Just wanted to update everyone — the surgery went well and Sunny is recovering at home! The vet in High Park was incredible. Thank you all for the support and good vibes. This community is the best.

I just snorted coffee out of my nose reading this. My zebra finch is looking at me like I've lost it.

Reading this hit home. My parrotlet went through the same phase around the same age. What helped us was leaving the radio or TV on when I'm out — background noise helps. Also just accepting that birds are gonna bird, you know?

My vet in Pickering suggested getting a kitchen scale and weighing them weekly to track health and I noticed a change within the first week. Highly recommend.
