Daily care checklist for bird sitters

I'm creating a detailed care sheet for my bird sitter. Beyond feeding and water, what should I include? Want to make sure nothing gets missed — my parrotlet has specific routines and I don't want them disrupted too much.

Great question! So in my experience with Pionus, this usually comes down to a few things. First, stuffing paper towel rolls with treats for foraging. Second, make sure they're getting enough sleep — 12 hours of uninterrupted dark sleep is crucial. And third, pay attention to territorial behavior — especially common during breeding season because that was a huge factor for my Captain. Hope that helps!
