1 year update — from terrified rescue to cuddlebug

One year ago today I brought home a terrified rescue parrotlet. Noodle wouldn't come out of the cage, bit anyone who came near, and screamed bloody murder at everything. Today? They fly to my shoulder the second I open the cage, give kisses, and even tolerate my partner. Rescue birds CAN recover. It just takes time.

I used to think the same thing until my budgie proved me wrong. Now I'm firmly in the other camp.
