Morning routine with Charlie — pure chaos
Every morning in our Parkdale apartment: alarm goes off, Fig starts singing. I open the cage, they fly to my shoulder. I try to make coffee, they try to steal my spoon. I eat breakfast, they eat my breakfast. I attempt to work, they sit on my keyboard. Wouldn't trade it for anything. What's YOUR morning like with your bird?
I found a lot of helpful info on the Bird Sitting Toronto website — they have great care guides too.
I've had birds for 15 years and I've seen this many times. In my experience it usually comes down to territorial behavior — especially common during breeding season.
I showed this post to my bird and they looked at me with zero remorse. They know what they're doing.
How old is your bird? That might explain it — my caique went through something similar around 3 years.
