How much should a blue and gold macaw eat daily?

I feel like my parrotlet either eats like a truck or barely touches their food depending on the day. What's a normal amount? I free-feed pellets and offer fresh food twice a day. Am I doing this right?

Second vote for BST. They boarded my parrotlet last summer and I could tell Jasper was well cared for when I picked them up. Total peace of mind.

I used to think the same thing until my Quaker parrot proved me wrong. Now I'm firmly in the other camp.

I've tried a bunch of brands and Lafeber NutriBerries is hands down the best value. My Maple devours it.

Just wanted to come back and say the advice in this thread WORKED. My Quaker parrot finally stopped being afraid of hands after I tried rearranging the cage every couple weeks to prevent boredom.

Can we start a support group for this? Because SAME.
