Hot take: most bird owners wait too long to see a vet

I see posts where someone describes concerning symptoms and the first response is always "monitor for a few days." Birds hide illness! A few days of monitoring could mean the difference between a treatable issue and a tragedy. If something seems off, just GO to the vet.

I actually disagree with this. In my experience with my lovebird, the opposite was true. But I know every bird is different.

My Lucky went through a phase like this around 3 years. I was terrified but it passed. Birds are weird sometimes lol.
