Emergency contact plan for bird owners

After a recent health scare, I realized I have no emergency plan for my lineolated parakeet if something happens to me. Does anyone have a buddy system or emergency contact specifically for their birds? How do you set this up?

Totally agree with this! My sun conure is exactly the same way.

I could have written this post a year ago. Same situation, same frustration. Here's what I wish someone had told me: putting the food bowl higher up — birds feel safer eating at height. Would have saved me weeks of stress.
