Things my parrotlet has stolen this week — a list

Monday: my earring (while I was wearing it). Tuesday: a piece of pasta off my plate. Wednesday: my phone charger cable. Thursday: a $20 bill off the counter. Friday: my will to live. What has YOUR bird stolen recently? I need to know I'm not alone.

This reminds me of when I first got Pepper. I was so overwhelmed but looking back, those early days were actually really special. The bond building phase is tough but beautiful.

It took me a while to figure this out with my bird too. Don't be too hard on yourself — you're learning!

My Skittles went through a phase like this around 15 years. I was terrified but it passed. Birds are weird sometimes lol.

I'd suggest trying stuffing paper towel rolls with treats for foraging. My avian vet recommended it and it made a huge difference.
