Avian vet recommendations in Whitby?
Looking for a good avian vet near North York. My regular vet doesn't seem super comfortable with birds and I want someone who actually specializes. Bonus if they do home visits!
So I had this exact problem about a year ago. Let me share what I learned. The key thing is switching from seed to Harrison's pellets gradually over 2 weeks. A lot of people also recommend setting up a webcam so I could check on them during the day. My avian vet in Vaughan also suggested checking for being moved to a new cage or new room which can sometimes be an underlying factor. Good luck — feel free to DM me if you have questions!
So what I ended up doing was leaving the radio or TV on when I'm out — background noise helps. Within a few days there was a noticeable improvement. Definitely worth trying.
