Need to drive my umbrella cockatoo from Brampton to a vet appointment downtown. They've never been in a car before and I'm nervous. What travel cage do you recommend? Any tips to keep them calm?

I remember when my Quaker parrot went through this phase. I was so worried but my vet said it's actually really common.

Lol my budgie does the exact same thing. I've just accepted that the bird runs the house now. I'm just the food delivery service.

My vet in Milton suggested playing calming bird sounds from YouTube during the day and I noticed a change within the first week. Highly recommend.

This is peak Quaker parrot behavior honestly. They wake up and choose chaos every single day and we love them for it.

I showed this post to my bird and they looked at me with zero remorse. They know what they're doing.

Reading this hit home. My parrotlet went through the same phase around the same age. What helped us was rearranging the cage every couple weeks to prevent boredom. Also just accepting that birds are gonna bird, you know?
