I see posts where someone describes concerning symptoms and the first response is always "monitor for a few days." Birds hide illness! A few days of monitoring could mean the difference between a treatable issue and a tragedy. If something seems off, just GO to the vet.

Couldn't agree more. This has been my experience as well.

So I had this exact problem about a year ago. Let me share what I learned. The key thing is switching from seed to Harrison's pellets gradually over 2 weeks. A lot of people also recommend reading "The Parrot Problem Solver" by Barbara Heidenreich. My avian vet in downtown Toronto also suggested checking for a change in routine or schedule which can sometimes be an underlying factor. Good luck β€” feel free to DM me if you have questions!

This is so true. Had the exact same experience with Paco.

Oh my bird did this for about a couple weeks and I tried everything. Honestly, time was the biggest factor. They just grew out of it.
